3 ingredient homemade parmesan

This quick vegan parmesan has saved my pasta dishes so many times! It is so tasty I could eat it straight from the jar. 

It is also very nutritious and high in protein and fibre. Just perfect!

And obviously, the star of this recipe is nutritional yeast, or “nooch”. Everyone loves this stuff.

Let’s get to it!

INGREDIENTS

  • 3/4 cups of ground almonds
  • 1/2 cup of nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp of olive oil (optional, but it makes a huge difference in taste)
  • 1/2 tsp of salt (or 1 tsp if you like it salty like I do!)

INSTRUCTIONS

Process all the ingredients in a food processor! Or just shake them all together in directly in the container you want to keep it in, it doesn’t have to be perfectly smooth like in the picture.

Be careful though: you don’t want it to be a paste, so add the olive oil at the end (if you add it at all).

Keep it in a jar in the fridge. It lasts for ages! Well, it COULD last for ages but you’ll probably eat it within a couple of days… haha!

This quick vegan parmesan has saved my pasta dishes so many times! It is so tasty I could eat it straight from the jar. Perfect to make pesto (or our pesto burgers) and to put on top of lasagna and any other pasta dishes. Yum!

Ingredientes

Instrucciones
  1. Shake all the ingredients in a jar or blend them in a food processor if you want the texture to be smoother. Add the olive oil at the end. 

  2. That's it! Keep it in the fridge and enjoy it as regular parmesan.
